Congratulations to Teppo Numminen, who , as he laced up his skates for his 1.254th regular season game, has passed Jari Kurri as the European with the most NHL games played.
BTW, can anyone tell me why Janne Ojanen was called the Irish Finn. He was mentioned in an article about Numminen.

Maybe it's because he's an ugly redhead, as are many Irish.sisu power wrote:BTW, can anyone tell me why Janne Ojanen was called the Irish Finn. He was mentioned in an article about Numminen.

Honestly, I don't really know. Do the Irishmen even know that a sport called "ice hockey" exists?

You are a bit late. Teppo passed that milestone against Carolina - Kurri had 1,251. And he did it in style: 0+3, his 600th point, and a 10th straight road victory for the Sabres.sisu power wrote:Congratulations to Teppo Numminen, who , as he laced up his skates for his 1.254th regular season game, has passed Jari Kurri as the European with the most NHL games played.
