Church Services in English

Does anyone know which Christian churches (preferably Catholic) in the Helsinki / Espoo area provide English language mass on Sundays?

We have just moved to Finland and have so far not found and English-speaking Church..but would very much need to before the Christmas period.

We are also interested in Sunday school or childrens' mass for our 3 year old.

St Henrys has English masses I think fisrt Sunday of the month.

The Anglican (Episcopal) church is found at Agricola Church on Tehtaankatu 23. Services in English every Sunday at 10 am. The vicar is Rupert Moreton.
They used to have a Sunday school for little ones in the crypt... probably still do. Call Rupert for more information. And I'm sure he would be able to give you lots of general information about other Christian services in English.... even in Espoo.

You just missed their Christmas bazaar event on Saturday.

The International Evangelical Church has services in English in the rather wonderful Temppeliaukio on Sundays at 2pm. http://www.church.fi

There are summary details of all the religious services on p12 of the Helsinki This Week tourist brochure.

In Espoo I am pretty sure there are services in English in Tapiola.... but I can't remember the denomination - if I find more I'll post it here.

I was in the library at Iso-Omena, Espoo this morning. I saw this (in English):

Church Family Club

Time: Fridays 10-12

Place: Omenan Olohuone, Iso Omena upper floor (next to the chapel)

It is organised by Olari parish, but is not advertised as a Lutheran club.

plus: there is sunday school during mass also.

And coffee and cakes afterwards.
