From what I've read, I can get my wife to Finland on the basis of family ties but I want to make sure about some thing.First, i will tell the sequence of events.
1. I arrived Finland in 2001 to live with my mother having an A status visa.
2. I got my premanent residency in 2003.
3. I live permanently here in Finland.Every summer time, I spend my holidays in my home country around 3months.
4. Summer of 2005, I met this girl, dated and relationship became serious.
5. Summer of 2006, I got married with this girl.
6. Registered my marriage at Maistratti last November2006.
As you can see, I got to live with my wife only this summer.
My question is" Will uvi give my wife a residence permit based on family ties"?[/b]
I think UVI may doubt the legality of my marriage because it seems amazing that a relationship can be serious in our situation. I am here in Finland and my wife is in our home country.
Do you understand my point?
I think UVI may have some reason/s to deny my wife's application since we have a serious relationship even if we are thousand miles apart.
Would that mean being legally marriedis sufficient to apply based on family ties? As long as its legal and registered, marriage is unquestionable?
