Okay, well I did not check the UVI site before I posted my question. I didn't even consider looking there due to my belief that UVI deals with residence permits. I know that there is no stinking way I am going to get one of those so I wouldn't have tried looking there.
I looked on the embassys site but there were no answers there.
plus I don't want to apply for a residence permit, I already know I am not going to be given one, I have been over the papers and meet nothing in the critera.
I just want to know is there anyway I can extend my visit. Has anyone done this before and if they have what did they have to do? I know there is little I can do once I get there so I am asking now.
The reason I am going in february is because if I don't my girlfriend will divorce me / break up... Not really but she will be pissed, for the past couple years I have visited Finland 6 out of 12 months and this year due to work I have only been there 4 months and she has been unable to visit due to school. In Feb I will not have seen her for 6 months. So for that reason I decided to go.
Her parents have also planned a family trip to Lapland in february, It would be my first time going there so thats something else I want to do.
If it comes right down to it, I will go home on may 2 and thats, that. But if I can stay and partake in some family events I would really like that.
anyways I will go call the embassy right now and see what they have to complain about.
