ice marathon Feb 2007

Hi everyone, we are coming from Ireland to Kuppio on our first visit to Finland in February. My husband and sons plan to skate and my mother (70+ and I, I think will just watch!). What should we wear? Will the boys be all right with ice-hockey skates? Do we need sunglasses? We are flying Ryanair and can only bring small bags. Many thanks.

Like aran cardie for the grannie, but being active worse is getting too hot - depends on the weather on the day, like.
