Tennis or Badminton

Post by ksmeds » Sun Feb 04, 2007 9:58 pm

Hey,

I am new to the country and looking to find some people to play either tennis or badminton with in the evenings/weekends. I am an intermediate player in both sports and am living in Pähkinärinne, Vantaa.

Dunno, don't do yuppie sports, but if you play 8 or 9 ball billiards I'm usually static in "Sali" (at the 'old side' shopping centre where the K-market is.)

"sulkapallo" is a cottage sport - usually everyone has a net and rackets and a few... erm... feather-balls... but as a serious sport... ummm... you find more playing kössi as in squash or then sähly / salibandy as in floorball... Tennis and squash corts you will find... badminton... umm... umm... how about hurling or field hockey for a challenge? (they *exist* as well, but <oirish>ever see a wee lass with a camog.. </oirish> )
Cheers, Hank W.
