Yes indeedy... the Real-Juve game was a dour affair. And nowadays Nelonen dangles the carrot of digital before your nose and promises highlights of an eleven-goal monstrosity as you prepare to switch off...

Boy, I wish I'd had a piece of that scoreline if it was in Tulosveto...

I fancy Liverpool to win because they seem to have turned the corner and the ball is beginning to run for them.

They know this is a real must win game because of the points difference.

This is the fixture that saw Jerzy Dudek have a nightmare last year and I can't help thinking that means he will be brilliant on Sunday.

Charlton are doing well this season, I've been impressed. Chelsea destroyed Newcastle yesterday (I know I keep repeating myself, but there are becoming a headache). Chant of the weekend yesterday, Chelsea fans:

"You couldn't score in a hotel,
score in a hotel,
You couldn't score in a hotel".

Made me laugh anyway.

Giggs did the business yesterday, he's had his critics recently but I've never been one!

Reading that report remided me of my last visit to UK.."traffic jams in the are delayed the match start 15 minutes"
It was the end of last season..March/April
I took Maippi shopping to Portsmouth on Saturday..it used to be easy even if Pompey were at home...not any more..they were playing Wolves and both were chasing promotion then.
Shopping went OK but trying to leave Portsmouth....
Fratton Park...is surrounded by a network of narrow roads and bordered by a railway line with very few crossing points...the visitor have no chance of finding anywhere to park so...
Cars double and tripple parked and abandoned ...blocked most roads
Nothing was moving...that was during the match..heaven knows what happened when they all tried to leave. ...I knew the back ways out..but so did a lot of others. I started to leave at 16.00 and got onto the M25 at 17.30..4 miles away.

I wouldn't have a clue down there Peter, anything out of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire is alien to me (apart from Greater Helsinki  )
