Well, depends if you are EU or non-EU to start with. If you only got an Israeli passport and no other ties to Finland you need to get the job first before you come - I mean you can come and look but did you read that "stupid UVI decision thread" - they might send you back to Tel Aviv to apply for a resident permit... So its not a case of just popping up and getting a job... if you read
http://www.uvi.fi they have a Q&A thing there.
Cheers, Hank W.

hei there
well yeah , I only have an Israeli pasport...so I see it's tricky...so I need a job contract first...well I'm a personal trainer ...I wonder if it's needed in Finland...and will this job be a good reason for them to let me stay in Finland?

Let me guess, you don't wanna join the army, so you're running away, right? Cool. I can hide you in my cellar

hei!
hehe, well that's a good way to avoid the whole Army thing
and I actually didn't join the army,I also found a good way to avoid it
but anyhow, now I just want to move to Finland coz I feel I'ts the place for me to be...I can't find myself at where I am right now . so I thought the only thing I can do is actually get there and try to make it somehow...see how it works out for me.
besides working I'm thinking about getting to the Uni as well, study some English...is it hard to get in? do you know maybe what grades/documents exams should I have/do?

Hi,
As everyone says in this subject, is extremely difficult to get a Job at finland applying from abroad, or just to come by to he country and get a visa right away. You need to have a good reason to come, so they will let you in and stay.
Well, Studies at University or polytechnic are a good way of coming to Finland and be around for a while without any job-family ties. There are programmes and a few degrees offered in English, and is not difficult to get into, but it still has some "Buts":
- ONEYou have to apply to studies at university or polytechnic before coming to Finland. After you have received you acceptance letter, you can obtain a full-time student visa that will be as long as you time of studies.
TWO After you graduate, if you have no residence permit, you have to go back to your home country, but if you want to get a residence permit before you finish school, you either have to get a job before graduating or get some relationship-family ties in Finland (that means marrying or have lived the last 2 years with a finnish partner: boyfriend fianceé,etc. )
THREE University studies don´t cost a single penny for Finnish residents, but since 2005, at some Universities, foreign students have to pay a tuition fee, which is not exactly 10€!.... than means, you have to save or at least make sure you have enough euros in your piggy bank,
(NOTE: check that point, ´cause some people in the forum says this doesnt apply anymore)
FOUR Talking about money, finnish government doesn´t offer social security benefits or support money (student salary) to no-finnish-resident students, so you have to pay your own expenses with your savings, otherwise, you can get a small part-time job (20 hours per week) and work during summers. Usually The Post Office is a good place, and is easy to get into it as seasonal worker: you might work sorting the mail or doing different tasks in there...
Hope you get what you are looking for... See you!

No they don't. They scrapped the law proposal.

Remember that you have to apply to study in the university, thus competing with other foreign students -> Not easy, I would guess. More information you can find for example from
google
