Where are you going to watch it?

Post by thedamage » Mon Mar 05, 2007 6:59 pm

So it's either paying out hard earned cash for a digibox and a subscription to watch the F1 or finding a nice place to watch it.

Where's a good place to watch the Australian GP live in Helsinki?

Where are you going?

I'm pretty sure you can watch it on TVU player on ESPN. At least I'm going to try or go down to the local bar, depending on the time difference.

Apparently its the Star Sports channel and not ESPN that has live broadcasts of F1 on TVU player. In case you miss the race, you can download it from below. I just heard that Matti Kyllonen is doing the covereage on MTV3 and he is without doubt the worst sports broadcaster in the world. Hakkinen didn't need toilet paper when he was around!

Oh, but he's a classic

Kyllönen: And theres, and theres smoke coming out of the nozzles...
Rosberg: Yes, in professional F1-jargon we call them exhaust pipes

Rosberg gave no mercy to his incompetence and it was great! I also turned off the volume, many many times. The best Kyllonen I can remember was I think back in the '97 British GP when Hakkinen led a F1 race for the first time. Kyllonen was orgasmic in his excitment and sure enough 2 laps later, the Mercedes blew up........long silence........"We'll we may as well pack up our bags and go home!".........long silence........."But I guess there is a race to cover"...........

I'll be watching it in my room here in London.

But since the race live will be at about what, 5/6am in Helsinki, what place would be open?

Oh and we have our own Kyllönen here in the UK, called James Allen. Terrible commentator, if I ever saw him in real life and I thought I could get away with it, I'd give him such a right hook to the nose. Mm.

Arrrrrrrrr.

Just watched the MTV3 shortened version of the Aussie GP. Horrible. Coverage jumped from lap 20 to 30 in a flash. Anyone else catch it without watching the whole thing?

So, anyone in Eastern Helsinki got the MTV Max package and want a F1 fan to bring round some Pullas and coffee for the next race? Err I ain't shy...

If that ain't going to work, does anyone know how much it costs to get the package per month? I heard it's like 40 euros a month!!

9,90€ with Welho:

Still not worth it just for formula. All the other programmes on channels in that package are crap or I already get them with Viasat & Canal Plus

Still not figured out why my Viasat package doesn't have TV6 which shows the formula??? Oh well P2P it is then.
