Can anyone say more about this? Is it good? (for 3 year old kid)
Is it in Helsinki? I can't really undertstand the prices for the accomendations. How much per day would a hotel/motel cost there?
Anything better then this in Finland? (something like Disneyworld)

It's all in English............ :?

http://www.muumimaailma.fi/englanti/saapuminen.html

3 yrs old is about the right age.
Just north of Turku (Naantali)
Pretty place on a nice sunny day
Very expensive
Not very "English" friendly when I was there but might have internationalised a bit since then
Very expensive

You really get to see the Moomins (my boys were scared, but survived the ordeal)

It is nothing like Disneyworld, not really any "rides" as such. It is more about exploring and being outdoors.

There is nothing like Disneyworld in Finland and probably never will be. Linnanmaki (in Helsinki) has rides, including some for smaller kids. Opens beginning of May or thereabouts.

Yeah, but it doesn't tell the information that you just gave.
Just north of Turku (Naantali)
Turku far from Helsinki?
Very expensive
It costs 18 euroes for a ticket, Disneyland is $80 USD.

Thanks for the info.

We were there with our daughter last summer. She loved it! She turned 3 then. It's actually a perfect place for a 3 year old. It's quite big so if you want to enjoy everything including shows and going through the whole place then it's good to be there more than a day. There are packages available that offers you accommodation and tickets in a bundle. It's cheapest to buy a sort of family ticket.(Moomin valley is close to Naantali btw.)

As far as I know, there's nothing in Finland that comes close to Disney stuff... Go to Paris! (Closest.) :P There are a couple of good amusement parks for the summer e.g. linnanmäki and särkäniemi (Tampere). There are also a few water parks like Visulahti (Mikkeli) and here in Helsinki, Serena....

ACCESS
The Moominworld is located in Naantali, at a distance of some 16 km from Turku and some 180 km from Helsinki. The Moominworld is easily accessible by car, bus or even a steam ship. If you are driving or travelling on a coach, first head for Turku and then look for signposts to Naantali.

I thought it was expensive at the time. The entrance fee just gets you in to the park and as I said before there are no rides as such. So for a whole family (five of us) I thought it a bit pricey. The concessions inside are not cheap either.
