Chelsea again

Post by rev. green » Wed May 09, 2007 4:49 pm

Normally I couldn't care less about Chelsea, being a Utd fan means I'm only bothered about 3 clubs, OK make that 2 (bye Leeds )

But Lampard and Terry disgust me, who the hell do they think they are? They have done nothing in the game, absolutely nothing. Now I hear a Shevchenko whom neither of them are fit to lace the boots of has been required to explain himself to Terry:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002 ... 94,00.html

Now they are both crying and wont sign contracts because him and Ballack get paid more.

Guardian makes me laugh on this one:

A wingerless, almost full-backless side that's as narrow and unpleasant as a faulty suppository, ultimately melting under pressure but leaving an awful pain in the hole?

Wingers are there, but not used in such a way...Cashley used to be awesome attacking fullback, but is now just...a full back...

As for Fat Frank and JT - their greed is nothing special within football, unfortunately - though still disgusting. Wouldn't you be pissed off if some guys come in and spend their days diving Scrooge-McDuck-like into huge piles of cash rather then performing on the pitch (while you score lots of deflected goals/marshall defence every game).

But what's this with Sir Fergie saying that this Premiership title is one of Manyoo's greatest achievements? During the same season as Liverpool get to the Champion's League final? Madness. Is funny that he says Milan will win with 'absolute certainly' however. What a joker.

Well we are on our way to record points for us aren't we. I've never known a season where we have won so many games. Fair enough Chelsea pushed us all the way. But Terry and Lampard are not that good. Take Essien and Makalele out and Terry will get found out all day long, just like he does for Ingurland. Lampard is just garbage, absolute dross.

Re Fergie well he's just right isn't he (at least I hope so) He hates Liverpool  Remember the "Their F***ing perch comment"

Champion's League?!? And the red !"#¤% won their last championship when? 89-90. Champions? My arse they are!

There's no certainty that Milan will beat the RS, so Taggart will look like the t**t he is if the RS spawn it again, but I'll love it if Milan do them, just love it!

I'm having that, but I don't think the futures so bleak, we spent the last few years playing 4-5-1 and didn't win a thing. This year we revert back to the Utd way and take the Prem and have a good stab at the EC.

If your players are good enough you can play with flair and charisma and still win things.

Personally I feel the competition was massively devalued when Liverpool won it in 2005. It can not be taken seriously anymore. If they win it again I may start regarding it in the same light as the league cup.

Mmmm A Man Utd fan, shame, most other football fans who watched Liverpool come back from 3-0 down in Europe's biggest competition thought it was amazing. What pluck, what spirit it was an awesome night of football. I was similarly proud when Man U won it against Bayern.
Liverpool have such a pedigree in world football to add another title to their record is deserving and i think they've upped their game this season, in recent years they've played pretty drab football but Rafa has turned the corner with them. Fair play i say.

It's a shame my team, never ever relegated from the 1st Division, don't have a similar status. Beating Barcelona last year would have taken us up a notch but sadly the rain, the sending off and that boy Larsson did for us.

I'll be cheering Liverpool on, Reverend will you be watching the game after our game with the rest of the Merihaka Futsal crew? You're welcome to chant for Milan if you like.

Re: Chelsea, John Terry winges constantly (even more than Utd!) and jumps up and down waving his arms after every decision. It does my head in. Fat Frank, annoying bastard, deflected goals, should be on the bench for England but would be handy in Arsenal's midfield we could do with a midfield goalscorer deflected or otherwise!

I wonder if you'd feel the same if it was Spurts clinching a 5th EC

Not since the backpass was outlawed.

Yeah I will make an effort this time eh. I wont be there tonight picked up a cold after burning the candle at both ends. Things are in Salopians capable hands once again.

Do be serious! Once someone has bought Berbatov it's all over for them.

Terry last night, giving it 10 men to one of our academy players. Last week he was sobbing his eyes out.

That game was such a non-event, if it wasn't for the flying tackles we could have asked the barman to turn the screen off.

For those who haven't read the url I posted yesterday, after last night's bore-draw here it is again.

http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Sto ... 86,00.html

When it comes to the CL final, I will be quite neutral, I won't be cheering Milan, but neither will I be upset should they dick Beneathus & his band of mercenaries - it's incidental that they happen to play in the UK, they might as well be Athletico Madrid.

The Champion's league is already a joke, the fact that a team which has not won their domestic league for the best part of 2 decades can make the final ... twice, let alone win the whole thing shows that the competition is fundamentally flawed.

I place the blame firmly with http://www.g14.com/ they are ruining football.

There you go, a man who speaks sense. (Ignoring that Utd didn't win the Prem in 1998) I believe Liverpool should be stripped of their 2005 EC and any other cup they won on penalties which I believe would leave them with 3 EC's.

Additionally Playing Borussia Moenchengladbach and Bruges in 2 finals is a bit of a pisstake really, these should also be struck off. Leaving them with the grand sum of 1 EC (Beating Real in a final is a good result)a fair reflection of the dippers IMHO.

I'm sure Sinikala will agree that if Everton can qualify for the Champions League in 2005 it really has been devalued

The league is the true yardstick and 1989 was a long time ago. Regardless of spawny EC's we all know the real truth.
