Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the International Summer
Event at Kausjärvi on Sunday! God gave us a beautiful, lovely day, and I
hope everyone enjoyed it! At least I did...
From today (Wednesday, 20th June) till this coming Sunday, 24th June, the
annual conference of the Pentecostal Churches in Finland will take place at
the usual venue, in Keuruu in Central Finland. You can check the programme
at http://www.juhannuskonferenssi.fi (also pages in English). Around 30000
participants are expected.
We have bus transportation from our church at Aleksanterinkatu 18 in the
centre of Tampere (a good block to the north from the main street
Hämeenkatu, at the corner of Kyttälänkatu, close to the Stockmann department
store and the Lidl shop) on Friday morning (22nd) at 8:00 and on Saturday
morning (23rd) at 8:00. Return both days after the evening meeting. Price
for a single ticket 10 euros, a return ticket 20 euros, and return tickets
for both days 30 euros.
If you want to go with the bus, please reserve a seat either tomorrow (on
Thursday) from the bookshop (tel. (03) 222 9434) before 5 p.m. (17:00) or
later from the bus driver Eero, tel. 040-7495830.
Please note that as on Friday (22nd) it is Midsummer Eve, the city buses
will run until around 2 p.m. (14:00) with Saturday schedules, and around 2
p.m. (14:00) they will stop running for the rest of the day. So no city bus
traffic on Friday afternoon and evening! On Saturday (23rd), which is
Midsummer Day, the city buses will run only from around 1.30 p.m. (13:30)
onwards with special schedules (on pages 128 - 133 in the timetable book)
only once an hour. Also, shops will be closed from Friday afternoon through
Saturday (and most of them probably Sunday, too).
Tomorrow, on Thursday, 21st, there will be a special meeting at the
conference at 4 p.m. (16:00). It will be directed by our guy Liu Ning
(Levi), and Eugene Mokulu (who is originally from Congo and used to live in
Tampere) will preach! This is something I want to experience!
