Goodbye Finland...and Thank you!

Post by scoobymcdoo » Wed Jun 27, 2007 9:43 pm

In less than 24 hours time we will fly out of Finland after over 2.5 years here. We are very sad to be leaving behind the good friends that we made, the peace and quiet, the countryside, the pace of life and the good quality of life we've come to take for granted. But, it is time to move on and for a great number of reasons we are returning to the UK.

Thank you to all the mums that came out for my leaving do last night. Getting home at 3.30am and spending my last day in Finland with a huge hangover was an ironic end!

As I said earlier, we have made some great friends here and we will really miss the weeky M and Ms group and the Tuesday playgroup get togethers. It has been fun watching our babies grow into strapping, stoppy toddlers!

This forum has been excellent, huge thanks to Neil for having such a wonderful minefield of info. The forum was a great lifesaver when we found out about the possibility of moving to Finland.

Anyway, I know I will keep in touch with many of you .
I have no regrets about moving to Finland, it has been a fantastic experience, we have some great memories of a great 2.5 years here.

All the best to you all,
Hannah and Sophie x

Dear Hannah,

You shall be missed and it seems almost unreal that someone who organized so many M&Ms will not be attending them anymore!

I want to wish you and your family all the best back in the UK and will keep following Sophie's blog with Isabella. I would not be surprised if Sophie would very soon be writing and editing some of the blog herself!!!

Have a drink for me in England ;-) maybe we shall return there some day as well!

Lots of hugs and everything good!

Marianne & Isabella
