Anyone know why we can watch Disney channel in Finnish & English, but Nickelodean only in Swedish? We have canalplus, which I think is excellent, so I don´t know whether it is their idea , or what?! Sorry it´s a really stupid question, I know there are far more important things in life that watching tv
(We have bbcprime too, whish has BRILLIANT preschool programmes in English every morning from 7-10, but I promise I don´t let the tots watch 3 hrs of tv every day

)

We have Nick in English. Is yours through cable or satellite?

Hello again, just reread my original & I realise I meant to say Nick Jr channel is the one that is in Swedish, which my kids enjoy, even though Peppa Pig & Postman pat speak Swedish! We have satellite, with canalplus package, so does that mean anything to anyone? All the other kids type channels like Disney Playhouse are English mainly & sometimes dubbed in Finnish!

We only watch the morning Nick Jr. shows and they were in English 6 weeks ago. I hope that hasn't changed!

OK, now I am on the wiser! They have been in swedish for about 18 mths at least, but occasionally, just the odd one in English, never in Finnish! oh dear, never mind! life´s too short to worry about little things like this anyway!

Usually we watch Dora and the Backyardigans between 7:30 and 8:30. I think Dora is on again at 8:30, but we are gone by then. Programming starts at 7, but I'm not sure what is on that early.

Generally in a satellite receiver, you have the options for "spoken" and subtitle language sent in along with channel information. So find out if the default language set is English.
Sometimes, the broadcaster in that satellite could set the default language to the local broadcast language ( Swedish for e.g., travel channel sometimes have the default language as Russian and I had to change language to Swedish to actually listen to the broadcast in English

as it was wrongly encoded)..
So check your remote and receiver first..

SCREEEEEEEEAM! Found lovely Bob the Builder & Thomas the Tank engine progs in English on Cartoon channel in the morning the other day, boys really enjoyed it! great! But then today both were in swedish again! . Nick junior we got backyardigans in English today, by chance, but had them before in Swedish!
Giving up, hubby checked everything, so will have CBeebies on BBC prime as usual, in English, even thopugh they are repeating the same progs for the umpteenth time this year! Have watched Disney playhouse in Finn & Eng a few times too.
Thanks for your help anyway!
