Me too! TVU player used to have Fox and I was watching Nascar every sunday but not no more. The Champ Car champion, Bourdais is probably going into F1 next year

well if you get cable...

Viasat Sport 3 shows Indycar (which I'm watching now)
Viasat Sport 1 & 3 shows Nascar
NASN shows some Nascar
Eurosport or Eurosport shows some Champcar...

I'm just curious, since I missed the beginning of the season, that Andretti, Patrick and many others were in Champcar last season and now suddenly they are in Indycar, so what happened?

I don't think Andretti and Patrick have been in Champcar for years now. Rumours have it that they might be one series again in a year or two which would be the best thing.

Could've been that series on Discovery about Racing team that was a bit older that thru me off.

I don't know much about Champcar or Indycar, since it has not been available here until lately, I've followed F1 for years thou...

wouldn't call myself a big fan, but i used to keep reasonably up to date with champcars. my dad and i went to the champcar race on the gold coast in queensland back in 2004. it was one of the best weekends of my life. haven't read anything related to it recently though. i imagine bourdais is leading this year again.

I think Antarctica_moon has hit the nail on the head in what Nascar is all about. Its a show, entertainment where real racing takes a back seat. Did you know that lapped cars are allowed to unlap themselves during a yellow flag-----------?
But what a show! Its fun!

what you guys think of Danica Patrick? First I thought it was great to have a woman driving an Indycar, but now after watching her perform, I'm not so sure...

I've seen her throwing temper tantrums, making amateur mistakes and generally not learning as fast as her male counterparts.

I saw her in American Chopper and she came across as arrogant, condescending and lacking sense of humor...

Now there's Motorola 300 on and her made a mistake on her second pitstop and on her third she stalled the engine... dunno it it's her temper that makes her do the mistakes... that might explain why Finns are so good in motorsports with their lack of emotion... Kimi "Iceman" Räikkönen, that nick name didn't come from nowhere...

I enjoyed the movie "Cars."

500 laps is just too many for a race. I know that's an exaggeration, but it's just not right that a car can break down and be repaired in enough time to rejoin a race. I don't understand the objective.
