from the Daily Mirror:
Rover and out, MyPa
04/08/2007
Blackburn's UEFA Cup opponents believe they have next to no chance of making it through to the first round proper of the competition.
However, MyPa - from the small Finnish town of Anjalankoski - are thrilled at the prospect of making a financial killing when Mark Hughes and his side visit.
Coach Ilkka Makela's side looked like suffering an embarrassing exit at the hands of Faroese team EB Streymur only to go through to the second qualifying round 2-1 on aggregate.
Mypa are now looking forward to welcoming Rovers to the 4,200-capacity Saviniemi stadium.
The Finns have enjoyed success against British clubs in the past, beating Motherwell, Dundee United and Welsh club The New Saints. But club president Seppo Makinen said: "Blackburn are a giant for us. We've beaten British teams in the past but Blackburn are much better than those sides."
Blackburn managing director Tom Finn is refusing to take anything for granted, saying: "We have to treat them with respect."
Go the Finns Go!!!!I say!
