MyPa v. Blackburn

Blackburn were so far ahead of the Finnish outfit in terms of technique and tactical nous that the early exchanges were little more than a practice match in MyPa's bucolic little ground which resembled most Premier League clubs' training facilities.

The 3,000 crowd even took time out from fending off mosquitoes to get behind their team as MyPa grew in confidence, and Christopher Samba was forced into a last-ditch tackle to deny Eero Peltonen a shot at goal.

Wouldn't it be sooo cool if MyPa thrashed them in the second leg
Didn't see the game but the score is "respectable" I suppose.

Yeah, 1-0 is such am impressive score that is really showing how much better Blackburn must have been...

Then again Sant Cruz is a high quality Striker which did a whooping 29 goals in his 7 seasons at Bayern Munich.
Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different

Well I think MyPa are brilliant for only conceding one goal, considering every write up I have read online predicted about 10 nil thrashing! (Or maybe that is coming in Lancashire!..........

Anyway, I watched a great game on canalplus last night, Reading were 1 up on Chelski at half time, but anyway, it all went pearshaped in the 2nd half. At least they have played the 2 most formidable teams already!!!!!

You have to face the mighty Toffees on Saturday, though...that's quite a tough start to the season!

mypa should be damn proud of their efforts. they played a far better game than usual and against a far better opposition as well. the first goal wasn't surprising, but i was definitely expecting a few more. blackburn should be very disappointed they didn't capitalise on more chances.

oh and there were no mosquitoes there. tsk tsk poor reporting...

I knew you were going to say that after todays result.

Good on you. And there I thought after Steve Sidwell the season was over
