Hi I need opinion about Albatross kindergaten
Hi. I´m considering my child going to an English daycare called Albatross in leppävaara. Please does anyone know anything about school? i mean academically wise, I´m really particular about the English language and also my child´s accent. please share your opinion with me. thanks

...it's a daycare. Children go there to play. Hopefully they play "intelligent" stuff at least some of the time but it is not school.tiffey wrote:academically
There will be a mixture of international kids there, so even if all the teachers are native English speakers that does not mean your child will end up speaking the Queen's English

My advice: go along, ask if you can "sit in" for a couple of hours and make up your own mind.

The Finnish owner seems to have high standards. Lots of young, energetic, international staff, including British and Americans.
They have lesson plans and do immersion English, with a native English speaking teacher and Finnish teacher in each group.
It's like a basic pre-school or kindergarten. It's private, so, like Penelope said, you should go visit and see for yourself.
I visited once, but not to enroll a child there, I was considering a position there, but didn't take it.
