Hi,

I would want to know after how many months, it is safe for us to take the new born baby by flight?

Any time after 8 weeks is plenty. My first one came to Finland at 3 1/2 months and the new arival will be making her first international flight in October at 11 weeks.

Of course ask your nevoula if there is anything you should be conserned about, but I think this is the best time to travel with a baby. All they do is sleep and eat. It all goes down hill from there.

We moved to Finland when our little one was 2 months old with no problems, but take a look at this link for some helpful info: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/travel/flybabyexpert/

Thanks for your responses. I am concerned about if the baby gets ear infection becoz of the air pressure.

2-3 days old is the minimum.

thanks for the advice. Anyways we are planning a minimum of 2 months before we travel. Just wanted to be sure that 2 months for the baby is ok enough for air travel.

I found it much easier to travel with a newborn than a toddler, that´s for sure. newborns just sleep & suckle all the time (well, mine did anyway!) It sure takes your mind off flying

I m guessin more than Neil's estimat eof 2.-3 days cos if You are travelling to India,...I reco that your inlaws or parents come here n help you after da baby is born..
otherwise..it will be more stressful for you n your kdi to just make a trip to India and face a crowd of 10000 to see n analyze ur baby,..

Not to mention the fact that you will need a passport for the little one for international flight. And that takes a few more than 3 days to get.
