stay-at-home dad

Post by conrad.rasmussen » Sun Sep 30, 2007 7:15 pm

I'm a stay-at-home dad in Helsinki with a 15 month old daughter. We're just looking for places to meet other parents and to hang out and so on.

Send me an email of you know of anything or in a similar situation as myself.

I've met a lot of parents in the neighborhood parks/playgrounds and now my daughter has plenty of kids to play with who live nearby. Have you tried to strike up a conversation with any of the other parents?

I also recommend maybe going to the baby bio if you're bored (they have them twice a month) http://www.finnkino.fi/events/babybio/

I'm with my daughter almost every day in town having coffee at some cafe with another mom or sometimes just the 2 of us, but you're also welcome to join. I could introduce you to some other parents I know as well. Feel free to pm me

There is a baby friendly wayne's coffee in sanomatalo near the main post office. There is space for kids to run around while the parents eat or have coffee :)
