Damn, it seems that Russia gonna be qualified... They have 2 games left, against Israel and Andorra. If they win both (as it should happen), they'd end up ahead of England. But football is football, we can hope for a draw in the game Israel-Russia.

If England looses against Croatia, they have to pray that Russia does not get more than 2 points against Israel and Andorra.
If England does not better than a draw in their last game against Croatia, their only hope is that Russia does not get more than 3 points against Israel and Andorra (2 draws, or 1 win + 1 defeat).
If England wins against Croatia, it's even not enough, they need either:
- to win by at least 3-0, or 4-1, or 5-2... and that Croatia looses against Macedonia
- to win by whatever score, and that Russia does win both games against Israel and Andorra (1 draw and 1 win would eliminate Russia in this case)
I checked a bookmaker on lines, it's pessimistic for England:
Croatia 1/29 --> i.e. you get ~1.03 euros if you bet 1 euro
Russia 7/15 --> i.e. you get ~1.47 euros if you bet 1 euro
England 79/40 --> i.e. you get ~2.98 euros if you bet 1 euro
It's likely that there will not be any British teams in the euro 2008
Because Scotland is also in bad position, they need to win against Italy (unless Italy would sink in the Feroe Islands...) And it's highly likely that Finland does not qualify neither, after all the efforts done...
