from my experience, i bought winter jackets from Sri Lanka when i came to Oulu two years ago.

It's a very good one and I feel really warm in even in -20C.

The cost was less than 10Euro, in Finland you have to pay nearly 150Euro to buy that kind of jacket.

So my advice, buy it from India.

There's a lot in the net. Some suggestions are given by these:

Most of the winter jackets sold in Finland are made in China, India or that part of the world anyways...
Get in there...

Please, buy proper Winter clothes..
A leather jacket is NOT a winter jacket.
A Short Sleeve jacket would not be enough
A Short jacket upto your hips aint good either..
A Longer one ll keep your upper part warm..
for the lower part of the body, you need longjohns or inside-full-underpants.
Its better to buy those here as I doubt that you get that in India..but if you do..do get many as each of em are like 5-7 Euros.
Buy at least a couple as the Finnish winter is pretty harsh so your jackets ll last a couple of winters..
If you are a lady, pashmina shawls will also go well under your jackets or as scarves..
Mainly Most winter jackets come from Bangladesh, upper/North India and China..

You have jackets that go up to the hip? Do they start at the feet?
