What's the best place to buy a suit?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

I was at Stockmann earlier, the quality is OK but it seems overpriced. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Filene's Basement.

But if you're stuck in Finland, sometimes you can find cheap stuff at Halonen.

Places like Aleksi13 (on Aleksi, of course) also have something on offer... IIRC they also have a tailor service if you're not strictly looking for off-the-rack suits. Haven't used that though so can't comment on their services/quality.

Mind you, you'll need to lumber upstairs (was it 4th floor?) to get to the men's section. The lower areas are reserved for ladies' things.

I'd go to Halonen. Especiaslly their sales racks have finds. Aleksi 13 *used* to be good, not to mention Pukeva (if you think Stoclmann overpriced no use hinting Kuusinen )

I get my shiney polyester suits from Germany online ;)

I ended up going to Stockmann.

Sokos had some pretty good deals but I didn't like the fabric. Something about "stretch" material reminds of fat people at wal-mart.

Anyways, it wasn't until I got home that I realised I bought a swedish suit. Now I feel like a gay.

Thats not gay, piink is gay, the mauve you bought is just slightly poofy.

Apart from which the proper (wedding/funeral) suit I've got was from Tampere.... was it now Pohjanheimo on the square right after the goldibollox bridge on the other side than Koskikeskus. For "going to town" shopping somehow I prefer Tampere. Helsinki is too... too... scattered.
