Bindeez recall (in Australia at least)

Post by karen » Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:00 am

This is on the kid's list for Christmas, but I don't think he's going to get it.

Recall ordered for toy that turns into drug

They were alread recalled here due to risk of suffocation if ingested:

But why are kids eating these? I can understand a toddler thinking they are candies, but a 10 year old??? They are meant to expand and stick together when getting wet, so it's should be really obvious it's not a good idea to eat them. Therefore, they really shouldn't be used without supervision by any kid that can get the bright idea of eating them.

These go by Aquadots in the US - and thanks to a slew of commercials, were to be the 'it' toy of Christmas.

Bindeez also won toy of the year at a recent convention in Australia.

I heard about these about a week ago in Ylemondo during Aussie news..
The 10year old were playing a prank and dropped it in a glass of juice in a party!!

People do not become more irritable as they grow old - they simply stop making the effort to avoid annoying others.
