most cruise companies offer xmas special cruises, where they have a xmas buffet. very low maintenance xmas with beautiful scenery (when it's not dark).
Get in there...

I'd second the cruise option. Helsinki is "closed for holidays", so public transport is almost nonexistant even if there is something open.

If you have transportation, you can book a ( pretty much it could already be booked) a Christmas dinner at hvittrask!! Otherwise, your best bet is a 24-hour cruise or one to Tallin ( If non-Eu you need visa) or Stockholm!

As I expected... I went to vikingline.fi to check cruises for 24-25th Dec and found that there are no cruises anywhere (at least from Helsinki). So Viking Line is also closed for Xmas. I would suspect the others are quite similar, although Tallink might be open for business.

Whats Mariellan Jouluristeily 24. - 26.12. then?

Artistivieraana iki-ihana Kai Hyttinen. Anna paras lahja itsellesi ja läheisille - aikaa toinen toisille!
Cheers, Hank W.

Yes, well that doesn't mean it isn't there

Yeah, they do sell out early (and are quite expensive); but the thing is to look out for cancellations.

Go to a spa for christmas (It's like a cruise without the ship and less drunk people). For example Haikon Kartano has a christmas package and they have an offer for Stockmann loyalty card holders. The direct link to the Christmas page is http://www.haikko.fi/juhlat/fi_FI/joulu/ . (The Christmas-page was only in finnish)
