felt projects using raw wool

I wanted to do some Christmas craft projects using raw wool (huovutusvilla). I am thinking of the kind where you take the wool, use soap and water and then shape it. I have a very general idea of how to do it but am looking for more detailed instructions or pages with craft ideas. Does anyone know where I might find some good instructions or craft ideas in English or Finnish?

I mean something like this but Christmas themed or just general craft ideas: Felt Easter Craft

Is there a Sinooperi in Rauma, or something similar? They often give free demonstrations on different crafts and they have leaflets you can pick up.

That reminds me. The Arts and Crafts Fair is at the Helsinki Messukeskus next weekend, 23-25 November.

Penelope, we don't have a Sinopperi here but have a local craft store. They didn't have anything there but occasionally give some short classes for different kinds of crafts (no wool stuff though right now). The other option is Tiimari but they didn't have anything either. I could look though in Turku when we go, thanks for the tip!

Yes, me too. It is also the forest fair and there are a couple of things I would like to see there (cooking stuff and curly birch forestry). And it is the ELMA food and agriculture fair (not sure what that is about). So I think I will kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.
