You'll need a bar with multi-screens as the Finland game is on at the same time, you won't be able to hear the English commentary with Finns cheering every time they score a goal.............hopefully. :D

Actually the England game starts 15mins later so you can watch Finland win, then turn over to watch the last 15 mins of England, the score will be 0-0 and you'll be able to pull your hair out waiting for that lucky Lampard deflection in the last 2mins, or maybe Beckham converts a free kick at the 15th attempt a la Greece.

My choice: watch the Finland game with a great atmosphere (although not pointing at the screen  chanting Maali every time they get a corner) then suffer the desperation of an England performance with alledgedly Crouch up front on his own. :?

I just hope we both qualify and we get put in the same group at the championships, that would be excellent!

England match should be a tense affair, if Croatia turn up. Crouchasaurus alone doesn't sound too appealing, but goals should come from set pieces...

As for Finland...well, Portugal have had some gash results against gash teams - even at home - and Finland buried them 4-1 once upon a time...but that's all going on optimism, but let's see.

i agree Salopian, i'm watching both games at my home with my g/f's finnish brother, the chances of two good results are slim but exciting. shame we won't find finlands fate even if they do win until another day. i'm not crouch's biggest fan but i'll be cheering them all on no matter what! (apart from McClaren of course Oompah :) )

I was thinking last night that we should be OK, as long as Beckham crosses the ball at least 20-30 times at a height of about 7ft then Crouchy will surely connect with one of them and it will be job done. Can't Mclaren see that he has the best crosser of the ball in the world (so say all the pundits) and the worlds tallest man, it's not rocket science.
Then i find out Beckham isn't playing!!! WTF, he's the only player who plays with 110% commitment. I'd rather have him in than Gerard who can't play for England and Lampard who can't play with Gerard.

(i'm not a huge Beckham fan by the way i just admire his commitment to England)

Could be a nail biting evening.......

P.S. Thank funk he's dropped the gormless Paul Robinson, he always looks like he'd have trouble remembering where he lives.

Portugal 0-1 Finland (Litmanen 90 + 3)

England 2-2 Croatia (Croatia missed pen 90, McClaren says qualification was never in doubt, Oompah's head exploads in rage  )
