You better be fluent then, as you need to put your tongue where your money is

Vince, your question sounds as if you've not informed yourself yet properly about how things work here yet, despite all the info that has been thrown at you.... which in turn doesn't really motivate me to comment on your issue too much further, to be honest.vincebel wrote:just to know what are the conditions to get into this programm?
do we have to get a kela card or be assimilated as a resident or to be a finnish citizen or to get the finnish id number?
Do you know how much time i spent in numerous offices here in kokkola and all i get is "you ll be advised by post in two weeks" and maybe my mailbox is reacting badly against post men but i got nothing yetyour question sounds as if you've not informed yourself yet properly about how things work here yet
I went to kela three months ago to fill all the papers and they said that ill get an answer in two weeks and...still nothing, even no answers. each time i go there the said that my file is somewhere on someones officeand about "having" to get a kela card -- well, if you prefer to live uninsured then you don't need it, but if you want someone else (= the Finnish state = taxpayers) to pay your medical bills, you better get one
I havent received anything yet. compared to some people on the forum who get the kela card after three weekshaving a child here, getting into the "system" is so much easier than for many other EU citizens. Unlike those who don't have family here, you have immediate access to all kinds of support from the Finnish state
This seems to be a finnish attitude toward foreigners who try to understand something. Example if you got on mol.fi or kela.fi, 90 percent of the information is only in finnishSo I, for one, feel like I am and have been wasting my time, frankly, in answering to your queries.
I am in this same situation. I have been waiting about 5 weeks now for my Kela card to come but in the meantime I registered at the employment office. They told me that they are sending me an appointment to come down and speak to someone there one to one. I am going to take the classes and look for a job at the same time. Best way!blaugrau wrote:EDIT: Read the Kela pages, there's more info in the Finnish version, eg. that the daily allowance nowadays is about 23,91 euro a day and that you get 4,53 euro a day extra when you have a child.
Like blaugrau has said,23.91 is the unemployment money and 4.53 is the increased allowance for a child...You will be eligible to claim that 4.53 after your wife has given birth...In addition to the basic unemployment money which is €23.91, you are also eligible to claim another €8 taxfree/ working day if you are enrolled in some language course or other labor market training...Usually KELA pays you this money with an interval of 4 weeks...You will have to pay about 20% tax on the basic unemployment allowance of €23.91(and €4.53 in case you have a child)...€8/day is your maintenence allowance which is taxfree...hychamaz wrote:I am in this same situation. My question is regarding some of these figures here. What exactly is that 23.91 and the 4.53. I have been told that I will get 17 euros for unemployment and 7 euros more for the integration program. Totaling 25 euros a day. I haven´t been in the system long enough to qualify for the small paternity money (so Íve been told). What is this extra 4.53 as my wife is due to give birth in a couple of months. Thanks for anyone clearing this all up.
You don't need a Kela card to register at employment office...All they need is your social security number so that they can verify that you are part of the systemvincebel wrote:how did you do??? in the employment office they told me that i can not register if i havent my kela card...I am in this same situation.
