working in finland

I would like to know if I can work in finland if I don't know the finnish language... I'm probably going to Finland next year but my parents are not going to pay me a room or everyday's meal...

I speak spanish and a little english...

hi, its really not that easy !! i speak 4 language when i came to finland, it was hard to find a job only when i learn finnish! so u should learn some finnsh even basic!!

You might have learned something useful by then, but enough that sets you apart from the other thousands who come to Finland just for the sake of it who have learnd "something" useful in Finnish... Don't be discouraged, but expect that it would take more time than you expect to find a job...

hehe! I thought I could work if I speak English..

But I have been thinking and I will take Erasmus in september 2009 better... Until then I can save money, I can learn finnish better... and now I'm living in Granada for a few months...my parents are missing me, if I tell them I go another time in september they kill me!

I'm here for 2 months now, don't have a job yet (still looking), got turned down on a few places because they had "better candidates". I'm studying Finnish and speak about 5 languages.

You better get some work experience before you come here, and with that I mean at least 2-3 years. Fluent English is also a requirement imho.

Not "some", but very deep expeirence from 7 and more years. Nobody will "train" you or give a practice here. Internationally recognizable education is a must too.
