Odds are for Mayweather but Hatton is a tough little nut only problem being that he cuts a lot so could get stopped over that

Well the hitman couldnt cope with Mayweather and reading the fight it seems he was outclassed by one of the all time greats.

Hats off to Mayweather with his respect for Hatton.

"Ricky Hatton is one tough fighter and he's still a champion in my eyes and I'd fight him again. He kept coming and I see why they call him the Hitman.

"He ran into a check hook. He's one hell of a fighter but I took care of business and did the job.

"But Ricky Hatton is one hell of a fighter and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him. He's tough as nails.

"I had him hurt a couple of times and I thought, 'damn, he's still coming'."

I watched it (was building a PC overnight for the wife, and the vast hype got to me in the end, so I sat and watched).

After 4 Hatton was toast, really, unless he'd been able to get in a lucky flooring punch, and Mayweather was too canny for that. Hatton came on like a steam train, sure enough, but he's a scrapper from the backstreets and the other guy's a consummate boxer of the old school. By about 8 he was picking his targets and hitting Hatton more or less at will. Rather hard.

Bit of an ignominious ending for the guy, and glad to see at least for now he's alright, but those who want boxers to go on with their careers after they've been smacked about like that really ought to be getting in the ring themselves. He should take a rest and then take the money and run.

Floyd is a very good boxer, if you like that sort of thing.

Tacky, tacky stuff with all those crappy celebs there in the crowd, and not sure that booing the US national anthem did the Brits any favours. But calling out "the referee's a w4#73r" was a new breakthrough in pugilist support, I suppose.

The bookmakers in Britain must have cleaned up. All that sentimental money, they love it.

Agreed with that. Watched the later highlights, 'young kids and all that'. But Hatton was getting a pounding after 6 and he was ever so lightly hitting MW. Did notice though the 2 big boobs in the last round in gold swim suits with front row seats, the smiles on their faces and jumping up and down when Hatton was floored... were they paid to be there:?

In the end Hatton is too small for this weight. MW picked him off, and one of the last punches that got him down was a beauty. Still Ricky's got a big heart
