Alteration services?

Hi,

I want to get my Jeans length altered. Are there services available in Tampere? If so, what do the shops are named in Finnish.

And approx costs if you know

Here in Pori there is a department store called Rattis....something like that, they have an alteration department....there should be a shop in Tampere called this as wel....maybe....you will need to get a store card for the discount, I think the card costs 2 Euros or its free and you get 50% off, which ends up being 15 Euros....this is also the price I payed for my zips to be replaced on my jackets...

Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if they take in the waists of jeans/cords? I usually have a huge gap and its a pain when I sit down because I don't want the whole world viewing my knickers.... And no the answer isn't get a new pair of jeans, because then they wouldn't fit around the hips...and yes, I could and do wear a belt, but sometimes its just nicer if I didn't have the bulkiness of a belt.....

Take your yellow pages out and look for ompelimoja ja ompelijoita or ompeluliikkeitä ja ompelijoita. Cannot really recommend any places here in Tampere because I haven't made any changes expect suites. Those have been done in the store there I have bought them.
