Not just criminal... it's insane (but that's capitalism). It's the middle of summer here at the moment and if I were to go to the supermarket today, the garlic and peanut butter will be from China, the oranges and grapes from the USA and the cat food and orange juice is from Australia. Now I don't mind getting my bananas from Ecuador cause they don't grow too well here (it's only sub-tropical), but it just seems everything we grow here is exported so we can afford to buy our food from other countries.
Personally I get a kick out of growing my own tomatoes, corn, potatoes, pumpkin, straw berries, lettuce and cucumbers in my back yard... but I'm starting to run out of room.

Yeah, be glad you're not a Finn as that'd make you a racist xenophobe :twisted:

... just can't fathom what the producer price is for the 'pirkka' onions from NZ :shock:
