Hello everyone!
I am a 16-year-old Hong Kong student from an English School.( year10)
I would like to continue my schooling in Finland. I have found some schools:
1)The English School
2)Helsingin Suomalainen Yhteiskoulu
3)Jyväskylän Lyseo
4)Kulosaari Secondary School
5)Ressu Upper Secondary School
6)Vaskivuori Upper Secondary
I know the schools are concentrated in the English result but I guess I can just get 65-70mark( 100 is full mark).
I am good at Chinese language ,Economics, Geography and Tourism and Travel.
So I worried about that I will fail to get into the above school.
Q1) Will they require a very excellent result of an abroad student?
Q2) which schools are relatively easy to get in?
Q3) what is national joint application?
(I’ve got to this web [www.haenyt.fi] but I know no Finnish and no one replies my e-mail)
Q4) Does anyone know other secondary schools in Finland?
(Schools in Helsinki,Vantaa and ESPOO are more suitable since I have a cousin lives in Helsinki)
Thanks for reading this post! I have no way to know more about the schools but asking in this forum...Thank you*

Re: Questions about LUKIO
You need to look into if you can get a student visa at all for studying in Finland at that age, I am not sure you can.

Re: Questions about LUKIO
You need fluent English to get into those schools and extremely good academic results.
It would be easier to do High School (such as IB - International Baccalaureat) in your own country and then come to Finland for your university studies.
How would you support yourself in Finland? You are still a minor. None of those schools take boarders (no dormitory facilites), so where would you live and how would you pay for your food and school supplies?
Other schools in Espoo:
Etelä Tapiola Upper Secondary School (AICE programme)
Mattliden school (IB)
if you use the search engine on this forum you will find other threads about the same subject.

I've ask Consulate General of Finland in Hong Kong, the official said that if there is any school accept my application,
I absulotely can get the visa!
To:penelope
To me,fluent English is not difficult. But extremely good academic results...I don't have confident to do so~*
Actually, I never hear about IB before I searched Finnish school information.
So I think it is not so popular in Hong Kong.
My cousin is an adult. He does business in Finland. So I will live with his families,
my mum will also pay the expenses for me.
Thanks a lot. Iwill search that 2 schools now^^*
