Re: Interview then what next?
Your translated CV might have misled that poor guy. He thought your "basic" is finnish "basic" along lines "Yeah, I know basic (nuclear) physics".userface wrote:well, actually it was. he had my cv in both finnish (a colleague helped me to translate it) and english. he also interviewed me in finnish. then we shifted back to english and told me that my finnish is poor and could not help me because bosses want fluent finnish speakers. but he would send my cv to other companies. I don't really know if he is from a recruiting agency (maybe he is. hmm). anyway, he just told me that he would get in contact if other companies respond to my cv.No no no, you got it all wrong. Theres loads of people here who just decided to move to a Nowheremäki and got a job the same day and haven't learned any Finnish. See now this scenario what you describe is totally impossible.![]()
Anyway, don't give up. It can be rather long wait, but job opportunities might appear when least expected. Of course you have handicap with language but take the time you have to polish it up.
Also, dropping your CV in websites might be good idea. I had call from one company regarding my CV in MOL website, they had checked it last fall and copied the information to call me in january.
Just to make sure I found a job before they had to offer me interview.

So, keep up looking and toss your CV for interviewers to see in as many recruiting websites as you can.

Re: Interview then what next?
next time may be better, however, world goes in recession and some cooling is IT is widely expected. So, you should rush in job searching.userface wrote:okay, i got a response from the first interview that i had and i didn't get the job. they said that they selected the candiate with previous experience.
btw, use capital "I" if you write in English. Even Finns are not native speakers, this rule applies here.
