Chinese New Year

Post by CH » Tue Feb 05, 2008 12:09 am

Chinese New Year's celebrations in Helsinki:
- http://www.kiinalainenvuosi.fi/ On Wednesday the 6th of February. The link doesn't have any English translation, but it's at the square behind the Lasipalatsi from 4pm-8pm, and at 8pm there is a fireworks show at the Finlandia Park.

Slightly OT, but at least last year the travel agency in Lasipalatsi had some incredibly good
deals on flights to China during the festival. Dunno if they will this year, too and for
me it's a moot point since I didn't get a chance to save anything anywho :D

I took my daughter there this evening & we had a nice time. Saw a kung-fu demo & a dragon dance, ate good food and saw fireworks :D . Much better than last year.
