I just received my invitation for the test.
Is anyone else from here taking it as well maybe?

Hi

I am Kristen from HK,i have applied to the Degree Programme in International Business at Tampere Polytechnic, i only know the entrance exam is about English,Maths,and logics. Can u Tell me about it if u know???

are you going to take the exam as well? on may 8th?
i have absolutely no clue about it.. not more than you do, i suppose. but i have a friend who did a similar test a while ago and she said her maths stuff was mostly x and y tasks .. about the rest i totally do not know..

We were told by someone from HAMK (about the English part of the entrance exam) that the spoken section or interview is VERY important. Don't know if this applies to all places though.

Id like to apply for this programme next year. So, could somebody tell me what the exam focused on mainly?

It's no big deal and it's almost impossible to learn anything specific beforehand, since all they tell you is that the test will check your maths, English and common knowledge skills. And this is about right.

The maths stuff I thought was fairly easy, given we were not allowed calculators. There were also lots of tasks to prove your ability to apply English language. Last part of the exam was a group interview on a given discussion topic.

Hi,
I actually have graduated from this program. I am an old dude since I graduated from it already a few years ago. I can't help you with the test since back when I applied I was still in the US and they were just happy to have some foreigners join the program so didn't test me. But I already had a good background and some University in the states. I did have a phone interview and it was easy. Just let them know how you're interested in business, how internationally oriented, and outgoing you are. They'll eat that up like candy

Oh, I guess they'll ask you about things going on in the world today and your opinion about it so make sure you know what's going on.

Anyway, other than that its not a perfect program but I know its a lot better than when I was going there and the respect and reputation has grown a lot too. The overseas study exchange opportunities are great as well as them giving you a chance to do an internship overseas as well. I had a good time there and was able to make it through almost on time as well
