Are you looking at employment discrimination on the basis of someone's race or country of origin, or are you looking at any sort of discrimination (e.g. sexual or age) that happens to many people, however you just wish to focus on those foreign employees in Finland who have suffered such?

Sounds like a really interesting topic, plenty of room for different arguments and POVs :)

You might want to start by discussing different definitions of discrimination, then selecting your criteria and explaining why.

Also, you could put together a questionnaire of perhaps 10 simple yes/no type questions (these are easier to collate when you come to process the results), and publish them on here, people can then perhaps fill them in for you, as you said on here, or by PM.

- have you ever experienced....
- did you expect you would experience it before you came here...
- has it made you regret your decision to move here...
- are you wanting to leave Finland....
- what level do you work at (senior exec, middle man, lower man, technical, professional, cleaner, student, unemployed, etc)

OK I should do some work here :(

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Maybe this sounds stupid idea to some of you
No, not a stupid idea at all. Just very hard to do. It is four different countries, you cannot just lump "The Baltics" together like that.

An additional hint - you might try and dig out related research that already has been carried out on this topic - see for example

...that is, to get ideas on how to approach the subject (or perhaps how to approach it from a different angle)
