10 men and 2 more points dropped
Well in my opinion we were worth the point. I still have not seen the sending off in slow motion, but it spoilt the game, Clichy had a bit of the ball but put his leg across and I believe a penalty was the correct desiscion. Great game to watch

Brings back painful memories. Very similar to how my accident happened, just a different sport.

The sky director made the desicion that it was such an horific injury not to show it in slow motion, but when slowed down on interactive tv it was a one footed tackle Taylor's foot was 8-12 inches off the ground and the referee got the sending off wrong.

Re: 10 men and 2 more points dropped
I'm quite sure Taylor didn't mean that, went for the ball and was only a fraction late. However, his studs were raised and really kicks out/stamps down (difficult to see from this). It doesn't have to be two-footed to warrant a straight red - a challenge like that is fooking dangerous. Surely there can't be any complaints. A point and a suspension, or a point and losing a multi-million pound striker for months (at best)? Brum came out of the match a bit better than the Arse.
Oh, and rather predictably Wenger's comments on all of this are very disappointing also.

I'll have to disagree
I was going to avoid the scores but i saw your status on FB John. So i checked the score and checked the Arsenal forum to see what happened. Even though a full replay with all the angles hasn't been shown it doesn't look very much like Taylor was going for the ball, look at the 4th picture. Taylor looking away, ball gone, Dudu broken leg, career-ending??
And here's a bad replay went straight through him (although obscured by another player), in the 2nd video you can see how affected Cesc is by it. Apparently so were most of the team on seeing the break. Gallas and one or two others were apparently crying at the end of the game.
Your fans were also malicious as well apparently, booing, laughing etc. Well Arsenal fans don't normally hold grudges (except against Man Utd) but i can't imagine any Arsenal fan will want you to remain in the premiership. It's just a shame you've got so many Arsenal old boys in your squad. I can't get a replay of the penalty incident either, i'll just have to wait for MoTD for that
So you got a point, we lost two, lost a striker for up to a year (maybe for good) and now have to face Milan with 1 striker.
And just in case you still don't think it was a sending off have another look, just because two feet weren't off the floor doesn't mean it wasn't a nasty tackle, even if he'd timed it properly he still would have gone over the ball.

No you are wrong it is a very bad injury but it was not a sending off end of story and wenger is a @#$% idiot. Every time i see it I am more sure.
PAUL GASCOINE did in my opinion a much worse tackle inthe F.A. cup semi final and was allowed to be substituted

Surgery, 3 screws, 1 rod, 18 staples and a soft cast. The cast was a walking cast for 2 months and I had physical therapy for close to 4 months. Never have been the same since, ankle got shredded and because of the surgery my knee hurts ever damn daySalopian wrote:Ouchcatfish78 wrote:Brings back painful memories. With the professionals he will have aiding in his recovery I am sure he will make it back for next season.

Strewth. How many ops was that?! Hope the knee adjusts in time...catfish78 wrote:Surgery, 3 screws, 1 rod, 18 staples and a soft cast.
Yup, I know what you mean, but Arsenal players have a supposedly minor, two-week lay-off only to disappear to close to two months. Good luck to Dudu.catfish78 wrote:With the professionals he will have aiding in his recovery I am sure he will make it back for next season.

Re: 10 men and 2 more points dropped
Only one surgery, they only had to go in once, thank god! It's coming up to 5 years and the knee still hurts. I have grown to live with it. And in 10 years it will be full blown arthritic and I will be bitter about it and think of bodily harm to the SOB who did it to me. Wait I think about that everyday. But shi!t happens. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Or one bitter mother f...errrr.Salopian wrote:Strewth. How many ops was that?!
