Hi,
Anyone around here know where I can rent/book practice areas for a band? Nothing fancy, we've got all our own equipment, so the cheaper, the better. Some guy with a basement and sympathetic neighbors would be fine. =P
I'm a student at the university of Helsinki, but from my (allegedly quick) asking around, the university doesn't have anything like this to offer its students. I could've just been asking the wrong people though, so if any other students here know of a general purpose room with thick walls we could book, that'd be great. (;
Thanks in advance, guys.
Practice areas?
Re: Practice areas?
The Finnish (musician slang) word you’re looking for is “treenikämppä”. Muusikoiden.net, for instance, has a forum for ads about them.Icebreaker wrote:Anyone around here know where I can rent/book practice areas for a band?
treeni = practise, rehearsal
kämppä = a place (a home, an apartment... a “my place”, “your place” kind of thing)
