Not a best country for these type of works. here people used to do the housekeeping them self and enjoy from this work. Singapore or other Asian countries are much better choice.

What happened to your positivity?

Home services are on the rise lately due to tax breaks with services paid for maintenance/repairs/etc type of works. I don't think many people actually enjoy doing some or most of the chores, it's just that the price has been too high for most (due to labor costs) and the stigma of people feeling it's not appropriate to use other people for their home chores (the jealousy factor).
Get in there...

Actually, really nothing. This country for educated and experienced people, whom large companies are ready to exploit and grab 50% of your profit. White color workers, engineers, professionals workers, builders, etc have no problems with working here. WELCOME TO FINLAND (if you are 30-40 years, MSc or equivalent certificate, 10+ years experience, plus good foreign language, no Finnish required if above met). Basic (== dirty, low end) works are not demanded, and sooner hobby. Housekeeping, dog keeping, private driver, life guard are not jobs to look here.

I guess that's why they are importing Philippino nurses, Estonian plumbers and Polish construction workers to Finland...

Dont worry be happy... All you need is English and the jobs will be landing down your place..as soon as you provide your certificate in Swahili!!
You can write to KELA for your employment benefits while your are still happily employed, in your own Language..and KELA will take all the effort to reply back in the language of your choice and will arrange for pay immediately in the bank of your choice, even in Lichtenstein!!

Those are professionals workers. They have qualification, experience, certification, etc. These are very demanded specialties.

And as word of warning... What shrecher is saying is true, in a way.

However...

Large companies are few and far between. That is, companies which have chosen to use english as office language. They can hire on SO many people... And you WILL compete with finnish people who want same spot but usually sport benefit of locally accepted certificate! You may beat them in the competition, but don't rely on that.

Rest of the companies are smaller and make up largest majority of employers. These are companies who have little to no interest in getting funny foreigner who can't communicate and has to have everything translated for him.

Up to you. If you score big company, good for you. If you don't, you are up the sh** creek and your paddle just got broken.

Not much we can do for you. People by and large do not use housekeepers. Best bet to get such work would be to start your own company and have advertises spread around your neighbourhood. Or that is my guess...

But that would include starting company, getting all the gear and still problem of language. Odds of you making living working for single family are not all that good. You would need to have more clients.

Problem being, people here are kind of spread out even if majority can be found withing hellish area inside Kehä 3.

That's true if you think of old-style "personal" housekeepers, like domestic servants. People do pay others to do their housework though. Even where I live in the middle of nowhere, cleaners are fully booked. Also a lady locally recently started a business doing any kind of housework: cleaning, cooking, shopping, whatever you need. She advertised in the local paper, and she is already quite busy. The key, as you say, is to get multiple clients, not expect to make a living from a single customer.

Well, with by and large I meant that most families do not use one. But those that do might have regular time every few weeks. Helping to keep cleaner occupied.
