Hey.
I was trying to find on google myself...but there may be a mistake in my finnish. (I still dont understand finnish websites though..)
Okay, I am looking for dye that I could use for painting on a cotton material. Something like painting on t-shirts, pants. But it has to be special dye for a cotton.
I was searching on google with words värjäysväri (sillä) puuvilla. Is that right?
Maybe somebody knows of what I am talking about and has some ideas for me where to search, what shops?
Thanks in advance

Re: Dye for cotton material
Prisma and Citymarket sell normal dyes for cotton (the kind you stick in the washing machine).
I guess Sinooperi and shops like that sell a more sophisticated range of dyes for handicrafts. Have you tried the big handicraft store near Kamppi Sinelli on Simonkatu 10. http://www.sinelli.fi

And not, I am not looking for dye to put them in the washing machine . I would paint them myself with different colors. or maybe would do some paintings.

The ladies in Sinelli near Kamppi are very helpful. If you explain what you want to do they'll make some suggestions. Last time I was in there I needed Halloween rubber stamps for the school disco (we stamp the kids when they come in) and she knew exactly which ink I needed so it wouldn't smudge on skin (as opposed to stamping on paper!). Friendly service.
