how much money / a day

Post by suomifred » Fri Apr 04, 2008 12:33 pm

I plan to go to Finland and spend a week there this summer. How much money a day would I need there to buy food. I intend to buy provision in shops /supermarkets and once a day have something like a pizza or a kebab. I don't plan to go to restaurants nor do I to buy alcohol beverages.
How much does it cost to hire a bike for a day /an hour?
I plan to spend this time near Turku /Turun Saaristo/. For the time being I found cheap accommodation in Parainen. Is it a nice place takin into account that I want to spend this time cycling, hiking, canoeing and swimming /weather permitting/?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

If your going out to eat plan on paying 10€ per meal, thats including the drink (this is in reference to your kebab or pizza plus a drink) as for going to the grocery store depending on what you eat, me Im for budgeting with quality foods, I figure I spend 3-5 € per meal when traveling. Thats calculating a sandwich, yougurt, and fresh fruit and water. But depending on what you consider your food types, most ready made sandwiches at grocery stores start at 3€ and go up to 7€.
If you want more accurate calculations post what a typical meal is for you and I can give you a better estimate.
