Ferry Helsinki-Stockholm--discounts?

Hei,

I've heard it's possible to get (for a student and in spring) a Helsinki-Stockholm cruise ticket for some 20 EUR. I've looked through the websites of Viking Line and SiljaLine, but the prices seem to be much-much higher. What's your experience? Is it reasonable to buy just a passanger ticket without paying for the cabin?

unless you plan to sleep in the aisles and get drunk..a ticket only is a disaster..even if you wanna go on a drinkin binge..
I had 2 free tickets that I ll probably not sue..but am not sure if it has expired or not..I ll check n post info on it later..

you can very easy get ticket o this viking line boat if lok in huuto.net
some time ppl sell this ticket
i had 10 euro return to sweden with own privet cabine
look in huuto

im going this sunday, one of my friend sell her ticket to me! only 20 euro in viking line. roundtrip....hehehe

Join one of the companies' club membership schemes. It does mean they will inundate you with junk post, but you do often get gift cards and hear about the cheapest tickets first through them - which does make it worth it. Particularly Viking Line's club is good.

On the cruises cabins are always "private", i.e. you must book the whole cabin, they do not sell single berths from them. That option (or travelling without a cabin altogether on some routes) is possible only when travelling one-way, i.e. spending at least one night in the destination.

i have had bonuse tickets from huuto
a i had the whole cabine to my self!
a the ticket i got was 10 euro some time more some time less
a booking was 5 euro
