Jumpers for goalposts
Re: Jumpers for goalposts
Quality victory for the cottagers today, sorry John.
It's going to be interesting next sunday.

Re: Jumpers for goalposts
Well done to Fulham. They deserved it, especially after some bad luck and dodgy decisions in the first half. Now they will have to hope that 'Arry puts out a second-string side next week to safeguard his best boys for the Wembley game, and they could be home and dry in the greatest escape since Steve McQueen got on his motorbike. Then of course if that does happen it will be déjà vu all over again from last year, and "see you in court".
Were my old eyes deceiving me, by the way, or did I see Renault F1 boss and convicted fraudster (allegedly) Flavio Briatore sitting next to The Fugger at the Brum game? Does this portend, I wonder, a summer move for highly talented Spanish youngster Fernando Alonso? Perhaps a straight swap for Henri Paul?
Or it could be even more intriguing. Briatore is of course a co-owner of QPR (who weren't playing on Saturday, so he was technically allowed to sneak off down the road to spy on possible next-season opposition). Might it be that he is considering a move south from The Bush to the more toney district of Fulham? I didn't manage to spot either his chum Heidi Klum or his Wonderbra-wearing fiancée Elisabetta Gregoraci (seen here sporting QPR's 2008/2009 away strip) sitting with him, though Lord knows I DID try.
Apropos of nothing much, if you read the Wikipedia entry for Briatore, it says he was convicted years ago of involvement in a dodgy bankruptcy and was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year stretch at the expense of the Italian penitentiary system, but in order not to play hide the soap in Il Casagrande, he hopped it and went to the Caribbean. If this is true, then I can't help wondering how the hell he manages to turn up for the Italian Grand Prix every year without being arrested on sight. Can anyone explain this feat?
"It's Italy, stupid" is the obvious answer, but I am hoping for more.

Go Fulham Go! Wow! I seem to have watched lots of their matches lately, usually switching over from dreadful Reading performances. As a lifelong Reading Supporter I have to say Reading deserve to sink without trace (saving Lita of course!) & Fulham really deserve to Live Long And Prosper! Good Luck Roy next week, we love ya
As for Sven, Cant Shinawatra be deported or something? Outrageous

You're prolific, I'll give you that.MagicJ wrote:Here's hoping the SO slopes of to bed early (she's got a cold) so i can settle down and watch Barca knock Manure out of the cup.![]()
I'm not desperate enough to stream a Manure game.
It seems almost every interweb page I've visited over the last two weeks includes a whinge from you about Manchester United V Barcelona.

I'd be sad to see Reading go down as I quite like Steve 'Charisma' Coppell, but by God they deserve it.
The sh*te they've served up this season..
Gary Megson keeps Bolton up, he must be gutted..
Sven's most likely been sacked for knocking off the tea-lady.

Re. the managerial carousel this summer, how great would it be if after all the clamouring and changes, Jose's still on the dole?

Re: Jumpers for goalposts
Yeah, the season's not over, but - just like the team I support - I ran out of stamina in terms of caring a while back. I saw this pic when reading an article linked by an Everton fan site (I don't read the Mail, is what I'm getting at). Now, what changes are they're going to be next season? Or is it going to be same old, same old? I see Bristol City won away to Palace today. The new Derby?

HM The Queen is said to be "utterly gutted" at today's results and the survival of The Fugger.

She is, as any foole knoes, Colonel-in-Chief of the Blues and Royals.
Ker-tish, I'll get me tiara.

YES YES YES FULHAM WE LOVE YOU; HODSON YOU`RE THE BEST!!!!!!!
Allie the life long Reading fan. Yep- well I had given up on Reading when Coppell stopped using Lita & sent him to the Reserves, then he went on loan to Charlton. Actually, I watched the whole Fulham game, as usual, then the 2nd half of the Reading game, where I didn´t cry until almost the end, when you saw on tv some of the other fans crying too. My 5 yr old cried too, as he saw Reading v Birmingham when we were in UK, & he has the strip, the souvenirs & the famous year book from last year (which has taught him to recognise every club´s emblem in the prem). Now he knows we won´t even see the Royals on TV anymore
Not to worry I´ll get him a Bullard shirt for next season
I hope Roy gets The Freedom Of London or some such award anyway for doing such an amazing job.

Great stuff from Fulham. My dad will be pleased although he'll fall asleep during MoTD tonight and have to read about it the papers
He can't work a video either.
