Hi all,

Anyone know where I can purchase good quality antenna for receiving televised broadcasts (DTV)? I need to replace the old one (broken) and since we are living right next to some obstacles (i.e. surrounded by some big trees etc.), I need a high-gain antenna and the booster. Incidentally, what is the maximum gain antenna allowed here in Finland? E.g. 30Db allowed? How about 38dB? Etc.

At the same time, anybody know if the broadcasts in Finland are made over VHF or UHF? Reason I ask is that e.g. in the US, there are still channels broadcast over VHF and UHF.

At the moment all dtv broadcasts over the air are UHF (21-69) but in future it is possible that channels 5 to 12 (VHF) are also used.
When you only receive you can use as big antenna as you like, at least I think so. With quick googling I found that usually UHF (yagi) antennas have a gain of 17-18dB so antenna with 38dB seems... sillybig (dual 8 foot parabolic antennas give 21 to 25 dB)
