Just because everybody forgets and nobody told the newbies. Juhannus timetables so now whine you couldn't buy any wine.

Thumb rule: THE COUNTRY CLOSES ON FRIDAY AT 13:00
... and MAYBE opens Sunday at 12 someplaces...
ALKO
* thursday 19.6. 9–20.
* the Juhannus Eve Friday 20.6. 9–13.
* the Juhannus Day Saturday 21.6. closed
* Sunday closed

Supermarkets... Siwas etc.. GENERALLY:
* thursday 19.6. normal
* the Juhannus Eve Friday 20.6. normal–13.
* the Juhannus Day Saturday 21.6. closed
* Sunday normal summertime 12=> onwards or then closed

Gas stations, ABC, Your local pizzakebab guy... Friday = CLOSES at 13 , Saturday maybe open, but don't count on it... 24h places *might* be open so unless you know check this week on their doors.

NOTE: For people coming in as tourists to cities. THE COUNTRY IS CLOSED. So don't expect anything - not even the hotel restaurant to be open. Theres no public transport either.

GENERAL TRENDS:
People go to Nowheremäki to the mökki to meet the in-laws.
Lots of traffic on Thursday 18.6 - the Teamsters union has promised to block exits from Helsinki. Don't be in a hurry to meet the in-laws.
Lots of drunk people torching things. Be safe with the in-laws.
Lots of police asking for blowjobs all the time. Do not let your in-laws near the car drunk.
Lots of people found floating in a lake. Don't let the in-laws go boating.
