Mobus operates buses for Ryanair's flights that run between Rautatientori (Railway square) in the centre of Helsinki and Terminal 2. The ride takes about 2.5 hours and costs €25 per passenger. The bus makes stops at motorway junctions in Vantaa, Hyvinkää and Riihimäki and outside the bus station in Hämeenlinna.

Strange point the time table does not show "Tampere to Helsinki"..Only..Pirkkala -Airport to Tampere Station??
suggest you call...0200-39000

Last time I asked, about 3-4 months ago, they said the London, Stanstead flight is the only one served by bus to and from Helsinki nowadays.hth.

Done the late flight (11:00 p.m.ish) from Tampere to London recently. Was told at the central station that the last bus from Helsinki left at about 5:00 p.m. to Tampere. So got the train to Tampere and then there is no bus to the airport after about 6:00p.m. so then you need to get a taxi from there to the airport, what a joke! So be careful about getting a late flight or you will be forking out for trains and taxis!!! Or spending 3 or 4 hours in Tampere airport (extremely boring)..

moon: I guess not many ppl flying here? :S or that its expensive to get a spot to land here or something.
Meanwhile, it kinda sucks that its landing in Tampere when most people want to get to Helsinki :o.
Mind you, these summer prices at Ryanair is not that cheap either :(. Finnairs good, not always cheap but definitely easier

100e as in 50e each way, or 100e each way? is that with blue1?
Yeah i mean, everytime i look up a flight to any major destination in europe besides close-by stops in sweden or estonia, its always something like 230-300 return during august/sept but i guess, because its summer. Anyway, actually i enjoy the summer here, would rather fly away in winter! :D but its just good to know when the high and low seasons are i guess.

Landing fees are generally lower at smaller, "less convenient" airports. That's one of the fundamental reasons why discount airlines can offer flights much cheaper than the main carriers.

Or did you think that discount airlines choose airports miles away from capital cities just for fun, or perhaps because they were too stupid to find an airport closer to the main population areas?
Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Not everybody lives in the capital area.

It takes me 1 hour 20 to drive to Tampere Pirkkala and nearly 3 hours to Helsinki Vantaa. No brainer.
