Sauna elves.

Post by network_engineer » Mon Jun 30, 2008 3:14 pm

Hi all,

I bought this small sauna elf recently, except that it has no instructions on its usage (neither Finnish nor English). I.e. can't really say what the material is, but the only thing the packing says is that it has tar oil coated on it. And of course, smells good!

Now, am I supposed to keep it on top of the stove along with the stones? Or keep it somewhere in the sauna?

I guess I should have asked this question before  I tried keeping it on the stove, atop the stones and it seems to be "breaking down", i.e. turning into powdery chunks. So, I took it off and decided to ask! Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Ouch :o. I guess all elves prefer to be somewhere safe and not atop a stove, I guess he's made to sit down somewhere by the sauna and enjoy the steam with the rest of you guys and not the fire : ). Happy saunaing!
