Looking for work

Post by SteveB » Mon Jul 14, 2008 4:30 pm

Hi,

I am currently looking for work. I am a 28 year old British guy and moved to Helsinki nearly seven months ago with my Finnish partner. I am currently studying IT part-time at the Open University. I speak little Finnish but excited to start learning the language soon.

I am interested in open vacancies. I have experience working in customer service, cleaning, bars and restarants. I am open for all new experiences and ready to learn more if needed. I always aspire to be hard working and carry out my work in appropriate manner.

Yours Sincerely,
Steven Blackwell

employers hiring for customer service are even more exicted in hearing finnish this little bird sang to your man
"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes."

Hi,
My boyfriend and I are going to Finland (from Bulgaria) by the end of August.
Both of us speak English, and know the numbers in Finnish :). (I do not know why we started out with the numbers)
However, we are planning to learn as much as we can before we actually arrive in Finland. ( The more we know the better, I assume)
We still don't have much of an idea about what we are going to work there, but hopefully something will come up.

I am a translator (BG-EN and EN-BG), but I am not sure if such language pair is much demanded.
I also have some experience with html, css and all sort of graphic software.

Wish us good luck, as we hope that things will work out for us.

So if you have some piece of advice for us, you are welcome to share it.

Hello Marry and Steve... there is a company called Capital Multisrevices Oy. You can just go there straight and ask if they are hiring. Now i heard they have two kind of works. House keeping in Hotels and Kitchen help. For kitchen help you be needing Hygene card and salmonila test for the health care center in Finland. I worked there for two months in the kitchen section. They pay about 9 euros per hour. And the good thing about capital guys is that they dont have any problem hiring someone who dont speak Finnish. And they are always hiring :)))....another similar company is STAFF POINT.. But Staff point is a bit difficult to get into...so this is address of Capital Multiservices Oy,Mikonkatu 13 A 18, 5th floor00100 HELSINKI
