Studying In Helsinki School Of Economics

Post by Jack86 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 10:56 am

Hi Guys,

I am from singapore and i have been admitted to HSE , Mikkeli.I am a North Indian.I was surfing the net and chanced upon this forum. I have read a couple of questions and replies and realised that despite the free-education , the living expenses is relatively high. I am not as bothered about the expenses NOW because i believe that i can afford it and thats why i chose finland , despite its euro currency ( S$1= 0.5 euros , ). I am planning to support myself by having 900 euros per mth , rent being 340 euros which leaves me approx 500+ euros.

My question would be :

1. How is the food expenses there? Discounted student Cafeterias or buying produce from supermarkets and then cooking them? Which is more worthwhile?

2.After school , Hows the life? ( Mikkeli )

Please feel free to add anything else and i am open to constructive opinions and information.

Thanks Guys.
